Overview
A antenna is passive equipment, that allows a radio transmitter to send a radio signal in a controlled direction.
Antenna's can be directional or omni directional, and may fall into a number of categories with those distinctions.
The quality of a antenna is measured in dBi, which is a measure of how well the radio signal is transmitted in the intended direction(s) for the antenna design, compared to a isotropic antenna.
