A mesh in networking terms is defined as a network where each and every node has a direct connection to each other node in the network.

When talking about Wireless Mesh networks, the above definition is not entirely accurate. A wireless mesh network is a network without a distinct server-client type of structure. The network is formed by nodes connecting with other nearby nodes or any other nodes in the network. It is totally not feasible to have direct links to everyone else in the network (for a wireless network) due to complications with multiple radios.
