The Pretoria Wireless Project exists in order to design, develop and build a networking platform using wireless technologies.

We do NOT and will NOT:

• Sell anything
• Charge a fee to join or subscribe
• Sell internet access

We DO and probably WILL:

• Provide various services such as cached copies of academic material for schools
• Provide internet services such as IRC, email etc for needy organisations
• Build a platform for service delivery by potential third parties (way way in the future)
• Attempt to connect schools, hospitals, rural areas, universities to the network (at no charge)

PWP will become a fully registered not-for-profit organisation. We cannot stress enough that we are not working on this project to generate an income for ourselves. It is a community project to be run and owned by the community.
