Starting a Node
From Pretoria Wireless Project
A PWP node is a wifi node configured to form part of the PWP network. Starting a new node can be expensive and time consuming. You will aslo need a clued-up person to run it.
Overview
Starting a node in a node network is a complex task. You can join a existing network as a leaf node, transit node or backbone node.
New Network
If there isn't a reachable PWP network in your area, you may consider starting a new one yourself. Contact the PWP crew on IRC for more information regarding this.
Please note, that in order to affiliate with PWP, you will have to comply with our policies and network structure.
Your node will be the starting point of the network in your area, with new users joining your network, and growing it as more user join to you and each other.
As the network grows, your network may join up with other parts of PWP to form a super-network!
